Guest Speaking Option #2

I am presently available for guest speaking engagements. Since I'm not the traditional speaker - in that I'm not lecturing, but rather opening my story up to those who wish to hear it and hoping to help reach those people who may feel "alone" in their situation - I run my talks a little differently than the norm. Because of this, I offer a couple 'options.'

OPTION #2: Two speeches in a one-day time period (as described above), plus an optional evening "rap session" for a select handful of students/club members. I offer this mainly for the university group/club that tends to expend the most amount of work/finances in getting a guest speaker to its school. This option gives that select group a closer, more intimate discussion opportunity -- possibly focusing the discussion in their particular area(s) of interest. This is a "no holds barred" session, where nothing is 'taboo,' and lasts until the last question is answered.

TIME SPENT: This option is for a two-night stay-over - meaning, I arrive the afternoon of day #1, spend the night, speak on day #2, hold a "rap session" on the evening of day #2, depart the morning of day 3.

SPEAKING FEE: I ask that the following is paid: round-trip plane ticket - direct flights or minimal connections; hotel accommodations - a non-smoking "visiting professor"-type dorm room is also very acceptable; taxi ride to and from the airport - someone to pick me up and deliver me back is perfectly acceptable as well; $450 (four hundred fifty dollar) fee - see Option #1 for explanation.

SPEAKING EXPERIENCE: I have many years experience in public speaking. As a police officer, I gave many talks in Crime Prevention, DUI, and Basic Public Safety. In law school, I excelled in Trial Advocacy and interned at the Manatee County States Attorneys Office, where I prosecuted misdemeanor cases in front of juries and benches (non-jury, in front of a judge). As a private attorney, I have given speeches to various groups, including senior citizen organizations, retirement communities, and churches. The topics of discussion usually center around basic probate law, but also include any legal topic that someone may ask a question about.
